Hamilton Island is home to some of Australia's finest hotels and resort accommodation. In the Whitsundays region there are several quality holiday resorts but Hamilton Island has a well deserved reputation for providing the finest in island hotel accommodation. There are three major hotels on Hamilton Island plus several apartment style resorts which operate similar to hotels and provide excellent accommodation for families and groups.
The lasgest of the true hotels on the island is the Reef View hotel. it is located on the resort side of the island and is twenty stories tall. Glass outside lifts service the separate levels and provide panoramic views over the Whitsunday Passage as you are elevated to your room. Rooms on the lower floors and known as the garden view rooms and are the most reasonably priced. The top floor houses the suites and all other floors have what is known as Coral Sea view rooms and each does have a fantastic view as well as having a large balcony from which to enjoy it. The hotel has an internet cafe, piano bar, bistro and restaurant as well as a selection of swimming pools. The reef View rooms are the most popular in the hotel.
Qualia resort is a new resort which has been constructed at the northern end of the island and istotally exclusive. No children are allowed and accommodation is in separate bures, each with its own plunge pool. The reort is gated and each booking includes a golf buggy to use while exploring the island or visiting one of the other restaurants on the island. The tariff includes any meals in any of the islands restaurants. The Qualia rooms are unsurpassed on any of the Whitsunday islands. For families wanting top end Hamilton Island accommodation, the new Hamilton Island Yacht Club Villas provide superb self contained accommodation right alongside the yacht club itself and a 50 meter walk to restaurants and the ferry transfer to the hamilto island Golf Club.
